One LAGUR -employee calls and arranges a time. You send a few pictures of the water meter and installation location so the plumber knows what to expect.
The plumber installs
The treatment pipe is inserted into the main water pipe just after the water meter, and the control box is mounted on the wall. This typically takes a couple of hours.

The Danish Technological Institute tested LAGUR's patented technology in 2020. Two identical washing machines ran under the same conditions for almost 200 operating hours — one on LAGUR -treated water, the other on untreated.

Two paths to fewer limescale problems
There are only two solutions that actually treat the water in your installation: LAGUR's technology that changes the structure of limescale , or a traditional water softening plants , which removes limescale chemically with salt.

LAGUR does not lower the hardness of the water. The system changes the form of the lime so that it does not bind — the lime and its minerals remain in the water.

Before you order
No, all of yours limescale problems is not completely resolved
Those are LAGUR's own words. We'd rather say it now than after you've ordered. You still have to clean, and on rare occasions the shower head still needs to be descaled — just much less often than before.
The kettle is still buzzing
The limescale is still there; it has just taken on a new form. If you reheat the same water in an electric kettle, the limescale will eventually burn onto the bottom plate. Empty the kettle between uses to reduce this.
Natural tiles still require a lot of work
If you have Italian natural slate, for example, the fine lime dust settles in the small craters on the surface. This applies regardless of which system you choose — with a water softening plants is it just sodium and other substances instead.
In return: easier cleaning with mild detergents, installations and white goods that last longer, and drinking water with unchanged content of limescale and minerals.

What happens after I order?
One LAGUR -employee will contact you to arrange a time and to receive pictures of your water meter and the installation site. You will then receive a rental contract (if renting). If you choose installation, the plumbing partner will bring the system on the agreed day.
Is there a binding lease agreement?
No. There is no commitment period and the agreement can be terminated with 30 days' notice. If you keep the system, it is yours after 60 months of rental.
How much does it cost to have it installed?
If you choose to rent with installation (349 DKK/month) or buy with installation (17,995 DKK), installation is included, and LAGUR Find an authorized HVAC partner in your area. If you choose without installation, you will need to find an authorized HVAC partner yourself — we will be happy to help point you to one.
How long does the installation take?
It is a simple task for a licensed plumber and typically takes a few hours. The treatment pipe of approximately half a meter is inserted into the main water pipe just after the water meter, and the control box is mounted on the wall.
Does it work on all types of pipes?
Yes. The treatment pipe is inside the water flow itself, so the pipe material is irrelevant — plastic, copper, and steel all work. This applies to both new construction and older installations.
Does LAGUR change the taste of the water?
No. LAGUR adds nothing and removes nothing. The lime remains in the water along with the minerals, and the hardness level is unchanged — only the form of the lime changes. Therefore, the water tastes exactly the same as before.
Do I need a service agreement?
No. The system is service and maintenance-free. If, contrary to expectations, it needs a technical check during the warranty period, it is free of charge. LAGUR HOME has a 5 year warranty.
How much power does the system use?
Approximately 2 kWh per week for LAGUR HOME , corresponding to 5–6 DKK at average electricity prices (2024).
Is LAGUR approved for drinking water ?
Yes — according to the official Danish GDV scheme (Drinking Water Approval). The scheme ensures that materials and components in drinking water installations meet health requirements and do not release harmful substances into the water.
What is the difference between a bearing with and without mounting?
With installation (349 DKK/month) ensures LAGUR and our HVAC partners for the entire process, and the HVAC technician brings the system. Without installation (299 DKK/month), you will have the system delivered within 2–3 business days and you will find an authorized HVAC technician for the job yourself. In both cases, the system is yours after 60 months, and there is a 5-year warranty.
