Fewer limescale problems without chemistry
Fewer limescale problems at home completely without chemicals
Fewer limescale problems without chemistry
Healthy drinking water and fewer limescale problems in the home do not have to be mutually exclusive.
By simply changing the the structure of limescale Instead of reducing the water's lime content with chemicals, the environmentally friendly water treatment plant from Danish LAGUR It makes it possible to clean more easily and still enjoy all the qualities of water for the benefit of the economy, health and the environment.
water softening plants degrades water quality
Danes have a low tolerance threshold when it comes to limescale in the water . limescale settles in installations, shortens the life of white goods and stains fittings and tiles in kitchens and showers, so you have to use grease and harsh chemical cleaning agents to get them off.
That is why many Danes choose to treat their water so that the content of limescale in the water is reduced. This often happens with ion exchange plants.
water softening plants reduce water hardness
They are also referred to as water softening plants , although they actually only reduce the hardness of the water rather than making it actually soft.
The systems for private households that are marketed in Denmark as ' water softening plants ' are, in Germany, where they are often produced, referred to more comprehensively and correctly as 'Wasserenthärtungsanlage', i.e. 'hardness reduction plant'.
The problem with many of these ion exchange systems is that by reducing the calcium content, they impair the water quality, because limescale is a sign of health, and it is an overlooked factor in our pursuit of water that is as soft and easy to clean as possible.
Water with limescale is healthy
limescale is an important marker for good water quality , and instead of declaring war on limescale with chemical ion exchange systems, which use large amounts of salt to remove both the limescale and many of the accompanying positive properties from the water, we can simply make a few changes to the the structure of limescale and still enjoy all the natural benefits of water.
That is the philosophy of the Danish company. LAGUR , which has developed a chemical-free and environmentally friendly alternative to ion exchange systems.
" The harder the water, the better it typically is. Not only because of the lime itself, but because of the path the water has taken down through the soil layers, where it has collected a lot of minerals, including in the form of limescale . But hard water is not only characterized by limescale and minerals. It also has a higher content of fluoride, which together with limescale protects against tooth decay. It is well known that children in Western Denmark, who have less hard water, statistically have many more tooth decay than children in Eastern Denmark, who have harder water ," explains the director of LAGUR , Simon Sorensen.
Another health aspect that emerges in the debate about private water treatment in our country, is that conventional ion exchange systems increase the water's sodium content, of which we already consume too much.
Sodium is the main component of salt, which, like smoking, alcohol and saturated fatty acids, is among the factors in our diet and lifestyle that increase the risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
The lime changes shape
LAGUR 's water treatment solution consists of a half-meter pipe that is installed after the main water meter and connected to a control unit .
IN LAGUR 's PRO -version for residential properties and businesses, the control box uses approximately 1 kW watts per day, and PRO -The system comes with a 10-year warranty.
The water treatment solution from LAGUR is operation and maintenance-free, as it does not require cleaning or refilling with salt and chemical softeners.
Without the use of chemistry, it breaks down LAGUR the ability of limescale to deposit. With electrical frequencies, it converts LAGUR the lime in the flowing water from calcite to aragonite.
In this process, the lime changes shape from triangular crystals to a granular form that turns into powder when it dries and is easy to wipe off with a cloth.
" Our solution affects the physical condition of the limescale, so that it takes on a more rounded character and loses its ability to deposit in white goods, on fixtures and surfaces such as glass and tiles ," says Simon Sørensen.
The effect is well documented and has especially LAGUR demanded by housing associations, shopping centers, office buildings and other buildings with many toilet facilities, where a single centrally located water treatment solution can provide large overall savings.
Big savings
LAGUR can be purchased or rented. When the cost of acquisition is deducted, a conservatively estimated saving in an association with 50 rentals amounts to more than 2,000 kroner per month.
In addition, there are the environmental benefits. LAGUR makes cleaning easier with Swan-labeled products without chemicals. In addition, large quantities of salt do not have to be produced and transported.
" In a regular ion exchange system, you typically use one kilogram of salt per 1,000 liters of water. That doesn't sound like much, but an average apartment uses 100 cubic meters of water per year, so that amounts to 100 kilograms of salt per apartment. If there are 40 apartments, that amounts to 4 tons of salt ," says Simon Sørensen.
LAGUR and the global goals
When you buy a water treatment plant from LAGUR , you are helping to push the globe in the right direction. LAGUR directly supports three of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals: Clean Water and Sanitation (No. 6), Responsible Consumption and Production (No. 12) and Life in the Ocean (No. 14).
" In Denmark we are privileged. We can turn on the water and drink from the tap without worries. In many other places on the planet, the water is contaminated with chemicals and bacteria. At LAGUR we have made it our mission to maintain the status and quality of tap water as an easily accessible, top-class food for the benefit of everyone's health. Healthy water and fewer limescale problems in the home or business do not have to be mutually exclusive ," says Simon Sørensen.
LAGUR
LAGUR has since its inception in 2014 installed more than 1000 systems in Danish properties, water utilities, housing associations, shopping centers and office buildings, etc. LAGUR does not soften the water, but simply changes the form of the limescale, making it easier to clean and installations and white goods last longer.
When water is softened using ion exchange, it has negative consequences for health, water quality and the environment. water softening not only removes limescale , but also reduces the water's magnesium content while increasing the sodium content. In addition, the natural fluoride content, which is important for teeth, is reduced.
