LAGUR® is the chemical-free environmentally friendly alternative to water softening plants, which preserves the good taste of the water and makes cleaning easier.

Where water softening plants require the addition of large amounts of salt, LAGUR® not salty at all.
A typical water softening plant uses one kilogram of salt per 1,000 liters of water.
It may not sound like much, but if an average apartment uses 100 cubic meters of water per year, that translates to 100 kg of salt per apartment.
Specifically about the facility
Assembly
LAGUR is easy to install for a skilled HVAC technician. You can either use your own or one of LAGUR's partners.
Size
The system consists of a half-meter pipe installed after the main water meter and is connected to a control unit.
Cheap to operate
The HOME facility uses approx. 2kWh per week, corresponding to € 0.6. PRO uses approx. 6kWh per week, corresponding to € 2.
Long warranty
LAGUR PRO has a 10-year warranty, while LAGUR HOME has a 5-year warranty. Both systems are operation and maintenance-free.

How does LAGUR work?
LAGUR® is an environmentally friendly and chemical-free alternative to traditional water softening plant, which – unlike LAGUR - require both salt refilling and wastewater discharge.
Using electromagnetism combined with patented technology that maintains the desired effect over time, LAGUR changes the structure of limescale water from crystalline (calcite) to a looser, more granular form (aragonite).
This change greatly reduces the ability of limescale to stick to pipes, installations and surfaces when the water evaporates. The result is that your installations and white goods have a longer lifespan – and cleaning becomes easier, without the use of chemicals.
How to install LAGUR ?
A LAGUR facility consists of a treatment pipe and a control unit.
The treatment pipe is installed in the main water pipe just after the water meter, and the control box is mounted on the wall. The installation requires a standard 230 volt socket with earth within two meters.
An authorized plumbing installer can perform the installation.
What is the difference between LAGUR and water softening?
So-called water softening reduces the hardness of water by removing limescale in the water in a process that requires regular refilling with salt.
It increases the sodium content of the water and changes its taste. LAGUR does not remove limescale from the water, but simply changes its form so that it is much less likely to deposit on surfaces and in installations.
LAGUR is completely chemical-free and takes care of itself on a daily basis without the need for any additional additives. This means that the water still tastes completely natural.
Can LAGUR be used on all types of pipes?
Yes, LAGUR can be used on all types of pipes.
Technology affects the water's content of limescale , not the pipes themselves, and therefore it is not crucial what material your water pipes are made of.
This makes LAGUR suitable for both older installations and new construction.
Is LAGUR approved for drinking water ?
Yes, LAGUR is approved for drinking water under the official Danish GDV scheme (Approval for Drinking Water).
It is a scheme that ensures that materials and components used in drinking water installations meet health requirements and do not release harmful substances into the water.
Does LAGUR change the water taste?
No, not in the slightest.
LAGUR is chemical-free water treatment and does not alter the composition of the water.
LAGUR only changes the form of the lime, so that the good taste and healthy properties of the water remain intact.
How much space does it require?
The short answer is half a meter, vertically or horizontally, in extension of your water meter.
LAGUR HOME does not take up much space and is easy for the plumber to install.
The treatment pipe measures approx. 30 cm and is installed in the main water pipe after the water meter. The treatment pipe is connected to a control unit, which is mounted on the wall. The control unit must be connected to a standard 230-volt grounded outlet within two meters.
You can either use your own plumber or use a plumber that LAGUR partners with in your area and that we find for the job.
Does LAGUR require a service agreement?
No. In short, there is no service agreement with our system, as LAGUR does not require maintenance.
If, contrary to expectations, it should become relevant to get your LAGUR -system checked by a technician, it is free of charge for you during the warranty period.
