LAGUR Refurbish
With LAGUR We work to use our materials as responsibly as possible. Our systems are designed to last for many years, and large parts of the technology retain their function long after the initial period of use.
With LAGUR With refurbishing, we extend the life of used systems so that they can be put back into operation, making the best possible use of resources without creating unnecessary electronic waste.
Used systems with extended lifespan
Electronic waste is a growing burden on the environment. This is especially true for products that are discarded even though they still have technical value. In practice, this means that large amounts of materials end up as waste long before their actual lifespan has expired.
LAGUR -systems have a robust structure that is designed to last at least 30 years, and the electronics provide their optimal effect for a minimum of 10–15 years. It makes good sense to replace just those parts and keep the rest of the system that continues to function stably.
When a used system is still functioning, it therefore makes more sense to prepare it for a new period of use than to produce a completely new system. The longer we can extend the life of electronics, the less impact we leave behind – both in terms of materials and in terms of CO₂ footprint.
What Refurbish means in practice
A Refurbished LAGUR -plant – regardless of whether it is a HOME - or PRO -model – is a used system that is taken back, reviewed and updated so that it can be put back into operation. The components that are naturally affected by time and use are replaced, while the rest of the system is preserved because it continues to function as intended.
The preparation does not change the function of the system. It is still a LAGUR -system, with the same construction and the same way of treating the water – just with an extended lifespan. And because we reuse the parts that still work, a refurbished system can be sold at a lower price than a new one.
What does "Refurbish" mean?
A refurbished LAGUR -plant is a used plant that we have taken back, thoroughly reviewed and updated so that it can be used safely and efficiently again.
It could be a HOME - or PRO model – what they have in common is that:
- Wear parts and components that naturally degrade over time are replaced
- The rest of the facility will be preserved if it continues to function as intended.
- The system undergoes testing and quality assurance before resale.
The system functions the same as a new one – just with parts that have already been in operation, and therefore it is sold at a lower price.
A responsible way to utilize our resources
A refurbished system is a way to make the best use of existing materials. When a system is still functioning and has a solid construction, it makes more sense to give it a new life than to produce a new one. This reduces both the total amount of electronic waste and the need for new raw materials. By reusing all the parts that do not wear out – rather than discarding an entire system – significant savings are achieved in both materials and energy consumption.
Recycling in this context is not about compromising. A refurbished system delivers the same stable operation as before, just with lower resource consumption and a longer lifespan. This makes the solution suitable for properties where a responsible and practical approach to water treatment .
Refurbishment is therefore a natural part of LAGUR's work to extend lifespans and avoid unnecessary waste. By ensuring that used equipment continues to provide benefits, we increase the degree of recycling and reduce the environmental impact - without changing how the equipment functions in practice.
