LAGUR is good at the washing machine

Tests show significantly less limescale deposits on the heating element in a washing machine that has used LAGUR -treated water than in a machine that has used untreated water.

Effect on heating elements

IN LAGUR We regularly test our water treatment solution in different contexts with the help of a third party.

At the request of the laundry industry and housing associations with laundry facilities in the building, we have recently tested LAGUR 's effect on washing machine heating elements.

In the test of LAGURS's effect on heating elements, two identical washing machines were run under completely identical conditions – except for the water supply.

One machine was connected LAGUR , while the other was not connected to any water treatment solution. The two machines both ran for just under 200 hours on the same programs, corresponding to 28-29 weeks of use if a family (as the Danish Consumer Council estimates) washes five times a week. Likewise, power consumption and water consumption were logged to document that the machines were used equally.

OUTSIDE LAGUR WITH LAGUR

The limescale is minimal.

As the report's pictures of the two heaters after the test show, the heater that has been exposed to LAGUR -treated water, significantly less limescale deposits than the heating element in the machine that has used untreated water.

Using a scraping tool and a force meter, they also examined how well the limescale adhered to the two heating elements. The results showed that it took 2.1 times more force to remove the limescale from the heating element that had used untreated water.

The result is in line with the feedback we generally receive from the laundries and suppliers of washing machines we work with, who often have experience with both LAGUR and conventional water treatment plant :

When a conventional water softening plants is replaced with LAGUR , the washing machine's service requirements remain at the same low level because the limescale nuisance is minimal. But where LAGUR does not require service or maintenance on a daily basis, the conventional water softening plants still need regular service and possibly continuous supply of salt, if the system is of that type.

In residential buildings, the reduced need for servicing the machines in the communal laundry is often seen as a good, unexpected side benefit, because LAGUR perhaps primarily installed to provide domestic water with minimal limescale problems to all residents.
