LAGUR MAKES YOUR WATER PIPE BEHAVIOR PROPERLY
Lagur -treated water has a positive effect on existing limescale deposits , which over perhaps many years has formed a rough layer on the inside of the water pipe.
Water treated by lagur , provides smoother flow with less turbulence, reduces the risk of burst pipes and increases water pressure in your tap and shower.
Calmer water in the pipes
In addition to minimized limescale problems , many of LAGUR 's customers say that their water runs more smoothly in the pipes and that they experience fewer water pressure problems when our system is installed.
This is because LAGUR changes the structure of limescale from crystals to granules, so the lime in LAGUR -treated water does not settle on the inside of the pipe, just as the lime in the untreated water did. Instead, the flow of LAGUR -treated water acts like fine sandpaper against the limescale formations.
If, on the other hand, there are irregularities on the inside of the pipe, it creates turbulence in the water, lowers the water pressure in the tap and increases the pressure on the pipe in places with limescale because the space for the water has been reduced.
When we install LAGUR In larger properties that have had problems with water pressure, water pressure typically improves over the course of six months to a year, as the LAGUR -the water wears down the inside of the pipes more and more.
UNEVENNESSES ARE SANDED AWAY
In a residential building, we see the largest scale formations in the risers in the basement and up into the building. The normal picture is that for each branching of the pipe, the scale coating becomes smaller. On the other hand, any problems with the water pressure in taps and showers are typically greatest at the outermost and topmost points of the pipework.
The most prominent irregularities are slowly sanded away first, and the more irregularities are removed, the better and calmer the water flow becomes – and even more limescale on the inside is sanded away.
LAGUR does not remove the limescale completely, but over time makes the limescale surface even. We regularly observe this when we check old water pipes and feel for it with a finger. Before LAGUR The inside of a cut water pipe will typically feel very rough – after LAGUR the inside of the pipe becomes more and more smooth.
MUCH LESS RISK OF PIPE BURSTS
Some of our customers have been concerned about whether LAGUR increases the risk of pipe bursting because limescale has a sealing effect on the pipe. But pipes do not become more leaky when a LAGUR -system is switched on.
The effect is the opposite, because LAGUR As a rule, it primarily removes unevenness and thus ensures smoother flow and better water pressure.
Many pipe bursts are caused by turbulence and increased pressure load in places with large irregularities tearing loose larger limescale plugs, exposing holes in the pipe created by galvanic corrosion and causing further bursts.
In an extreme case, we installed LAGUR in a large commercial property that had been severely plagued by burst pipes – an average of one burst pipe per week.
Three years after installation of LAGUR there were four pipe bursts, where the untreated water before the installation of LAGUR (theoretically speaking) would have been around 150.
CISTERN BECOME CLEAN UNDER WATER LEVEL
In general, LAGUR -treated water has an abrasive effect on limescale deposits on the inside of installations where there is a strong water flow.
In cisterns, the situation is a little different. Here the water is mainly still. Over time, however, the water will work its way under cracks in the lime crust and loosen the outer layer of lime.
In this way, a plastic cistern will often be nearly clean within a year or two. limescale below the water level, while the part of the cistern that is above the water level has the same limescale coating as before the installation of LAGUR .
TILES NEED TO BE FIXED
Old limescale deposits that are only in sporadic contact with new water from LAGUR water treatment – for example, the tiles and glass wall in your shower – does not experience the same effect as water pipes and cisterns.
Do you want the old one? limescale away, it therefore requires grease and cleaning agents.
On the other hand, you can be happy that LAGUR -treated water minimizes limescale problems afterwards because it is easy to remove the granulated lime dust that may settle with a cloth.
