Thank you, HC Ørsted!
Without HC Ørsted and his discovery of electromagnetism in 1820, we would not have been able to develop LAGUR .
200th birthday
In 2020 it will be 200 years since the Danish physicist and chemist HC Ørsted discovered electromagnetism. This is being marked in many places in Denmark, and here in LAGUR We will also wave the flag a little, because we have a special reason to send the Danish scientific pioneer a kind thought.
Without HC Ørsted's discovery of electromagnetism, we would not have been able to develop LAGUR 's chemical-free water treatment solution that minimizes limescale nuisances in homes and businesses. Without electromagnetism, we wouldn't have many other important products and technologies today – from electric light and electric motors to the particle accelerator at CERN and the magnetic crane at the scrap dealer.
LAGUR changes the structure of limescale
HC Ørsted's discovery is included as a main ingredient in LAGUR 's water treatment solution , which uses electrical frequencies to convert the lime in the flowing water from calcite to aragonite. In this process, the lime changes form from triangular crystals to a granular form that turns into powder when it dries and is easy to wipe off with a cloth.
LAGUR This affects the physical condition of the limescale, so that the limescale becomes more rounded and loses its ability to deposit in white goods, on fixtures and surfaces such as glass and tiles. In continuation of this change in the shape of the limescale, it ensures LAGUR that the changed limescale structure lasts long enough to protect installations and make it easier to clean tiles and fixtures when the water reaches them.
In other words, it was good for all of us that HC Ørsted, during a lecture 200 years ago, made a compass needle move by holding a current-carrying wire over it and then investigated the phenomenon experimentally, so that he could publish his results in July 1820.
