THE SYMBOL OF WATER

It is no coincidence that our name is LAGUR , and that our logo ᛚ may resemble an upside-down L.

The word ' LAGUR ' – and many variants thereof – means water in the runic language , and our logo ᛚ is both the sound of L and the common symbol for water in the runic alphabets that were used in Nordic and Germanic culture from the 2nd century AD and the next approximately 1,000 years.

WATER IS ESSENTIAL FOR LIFE

For example, the sign for water ᛚ was one of just 16-19 runes in the Viking runic alphabet. Water was important because, like us modern humans, our ancestors were aware that water is more than a resource – it is a condition for life.

Today, we have the word of science that the presence of liquid water was crucial for the emergence of life. Wherever on Earth there are examples of life, water is present to some extent.

THE WATER WHERE WE LIVE

Water comes from the ground where we stand, live, and work, and LAGUR water treatment plant is both developed and manufactured in Denmark.
